Despite denials, Eva picked up Matt Barnes at airport

Remember Eva Longoria’s heated denials that with Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes?

That may be true. Longoria and Barnes have been involved in several charity projects for Padres and Athletes vs. Cancer.

But it does take a special friend to pick up another friend at an airport — particularly in Los Angeles in the middle of the day. 

And that’s what TMZ.com has reported that Longoria did earlier this week, with the .

Of course, Longoria could be telling us the truth. But it also takes someone special to play the role of chauffeur — even if it is in a custom BMW.

Barnes reportedly tried to make it to the car incognito, but it’s a little hard to hide when you are 6-foot-7.

Longoria has been involved in a relationship with Eddie Cruz, the younger brother of actress Penelope Cruz, since her breakup last year with Spurs guard Tony Parker.

Eva speaks of frosty relationship with TP since divorce

Actress Eva Longoria told Ellen DeGeneres that her relationship with her former husband Tony Parker has come to an abrupt conclusion over the past several months.

Longoria told DeGeneres that , with whom she was married from 2007-10.

She told GeGeneres that she learned a hard lesson during her marriage.

“Being a woman, I realized you cannot identify yourself through a man or through your marriage,” Longoria said, prompting DeGeneres to high-five her. 

“I think it’s our nature to be socially constructed that way,” Longoria added. “To just be inferior or subservient and you don’t have to be. You can be yourself and really hold your own by yourself no matter what partnership you’re in.”

Longoria, 36, is in a new relationship with Eduardo Cruz, the 26-year-old younger brother of actress Penelope Cruz.

“I’m in a happy place,” she told DeGeneres. “Everyone says I look younger… Everyone keeps saying, ‘You’ve never looked better. I think divorce agrees with me!”

Parker once appeared on the show with his former wife, as she and DeGeneres threw softballs that tried to knock him from a perch.

This time, his mention wasn’t nearly as positive or supportive as before.

Gossip website claims TP’s mom crashed Eva’s book signing

Even with their divorce settled for more than seven months, Tony Parker and his former wife Eva Longoria have again popped up in the tabloid blogs the last few days. (Hat tip to Ben Maller.com).  

Rumor Fix.com reports in what it claims is an exclusive story that Parker’s mother, Pamela Firestone, made a dramatic appearance at a recent book-signing event for Longoria at a Williams-Sonoma store in San Antonio.

The website reports that Firestone was seen sobbing as she rushed to get counter space so she could . She then handed it to the actress before walking out of the store. Longoria reportedly remained calm during the ordeal.

It’s interesting that Longoria and her new 25-year-old beau, Eduardo Cruz, were in town at the same time as Parker, who made a recent appearance at the Spurs summer camp before leaving for his native France later this month. The website also reports that Longoria and Cruz were staying at the same hotel as Parker in San Antonio while they were here.

No word if there was any interaction between them at the lobby bar. Or  if they ran into each other at Parker and Longoria’s favorite old dining place — Rudy’s in Leon Springs.
