When the San Antonio Spurs face off against the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday night don’t expect not to see PG Tony Parker there even though he is scheduled to have an MRI

“just to make sure,” Parker said.

To make sure that his healing from an injury that kept him from 100% late in the regular season.

The Spurs know that they will be playing in an hostile environment in which no playoff team has one in.

Spurs/Warriors Round Two

The San Antonio Spurs survived the Golden State Warriors in an exhausting Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-finals in San Antonio and now look forward to what game two has in store.  There is one big thing they would like to work on.

“We’d like to figure out how to hold (Stephen) Curry under 40 (points),” head coach Gregg Popovich said. “I have like 10 phone calls out to people asking for suggestions. He’s unbelievable.”

What Curry did was no small feat against a defensive minded Spurs team;  44 points (18-35 from the field and 6-14 from the 3-point line), 11 assists, four rebounds and two steals while playing nearly the entire game (57:56).
