Spurs/Warriors Round Two

The San Antonio Spurs survived the Golden State Warriors in an exhausting Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-finals in San Antonio and now look forward to what game two has in store.  There is one big thing they would like to work on.

“We’d like to figure out how to hold (Stephen) Curry under 40 (points),” head coach Gregg Popovich said. “I have like 10 phone calls out to people asking for suggestions. He’s unbelievable.”

What Curry did was no small feat against a defensive minded Spurs team;  44 points (18-35 from the field and 6-14 from the 3-point line), 11 assists, four rebounds and two steals while playing nearly the entire game (57:56).

Warriors Head Coach Mark Jackson put his team’s chances this way:

“All we do is concentrate on the facts,” Jackson said. “And the facts are, we were the better basketball team for the most part of that game. We did some things we have to do better. But you have to leave that game feeling good about where we are.”

Tickets are still available for tonight game!
