Bodog pegs Spurs tied for third in 2011-12 wins

The internet gambling website Bodog.com is from the Spurs this season.

In a proposition bet for the 2011-12 season, Bodog has ranked the Spurs tied for third in expected number of victories among NBA teams.

Bodog has set the “over/under” on Spurs victories at 46 ½  in the upcoming 66-game season. Win totals above 46 ½ would be considered as over, while those below it would be considered under.

Miami and the Los Angeles Lakers lead all teams with an over/under total of 48 ½ victories. The Spurs are tied with Chicago for third at 46 ½. Oklahoma City and defending NBA champion Dallas are tied for fifth at 44 ½. Boston and Orlando are tied for seventh at 41 ½ and New York is next at 39 ½.

The other interesting proposition bet is whether NBA commissioner David Stern will be at his job on Dec. 1, 2012. Stern remaining in the job on that date is listed at +200 by Bodog. The veteran commissioner stepping down before that date is at -300.

That would mean that if you would bet him to be leaving, you  would have to bet $300 to win $100. In order for him to stay, you would bet $100 to win $200 and your original bet.

What about it Spurs Nation? Do you think the Silver and Black can finish at 47-19 to win the over/under bet?

And would you bet that Stern stays or leaves by December of next season?
