In the second game of the preseason for the new look San Antonio Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 17 points and pulled down seven boards in a 97-94 loss to the Miami Heat. Tim Duncan notched 14 points on 7-7 shooting and hauled down six rebounds and dished two assists in 18 minutes of play.

Kyle Anderson, the Spurs 30th pick in the first round of the 2014 draft, led the Spurs team with 22 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.5 apg and 1.3 steals per game. He becomes the first Spurs Summer League MVP.
The team made news from the start as Team President Gregg Popovich named former WNBA All Star and current Spurs Assistant Becky Hammon as the Spurs SL Head Coach, the first in NBA History.
