Spurs begin 4-game West Coast Swing

The City of Angels awaits the San Antonio Spurs and tonight they will face Blake Griffin and his Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.  The Spurs, off to an uncharacteristic bad start at 2-3 face a Clippers franchise that has been on the rise the past three seasons.   The Clippers are 4-2 thus far into the early part of the schedule.  They will finish out the week against the Lakers, Warriors and Kings.

Tonight, the Spurs will be without Tiago Splitter (calf), Marco Belenili (groin) and Patty Mills (shoulder).  The Clippers should be at full strength.

Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets still remain so be sure to get yours now and cheer on the Defending NBA Champions.

Spurs drop first of four games to I-10 rival Rockets

With more than enough time to prepare for a post sans both Tiago Splitter and Tim Duncan, the Houston Rockets took full advantage and fed PF/C Dwight Howard to the tune of 32 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks.

“We looked at some stuff (on tape) and we got him in the post,” McHale said. “I thought (Howard) rolled hard and got some late at the rim. He was really devastating on those high passes. It’s important that he gets in a rhythm and plays. It doesn’t matter who is out there playing for them, he’s got to play well for us.”

The Spurs will have the opportunity to right the ship as they face the New Orleans Pelicans Saturday night.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours now!
