Grizz leave no room for overtime; dump Spurs

The Memphis Grizzlies remember well the triple overtime game just a few games back.  Backed by a home crowd, the Grizzlies were fueled early on in the game with guard Mike Conelly scroing 16 points.  He would eventually finish with 30 points.

“That team has had our number for three or four years,” Conley said. “With or without their starters, they seem to always beat us. It’s a huge win for us at home and a huge statement. Hopefully, we can just continue building off of it.”

The Spurs do expect Point Guard Tony Parker to play tonight.  He did not play against the Grizzlies.

There is no rest for the defending champion Spurs as they overnight from Memphis back to San Antonio for a New Year’s Eve matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans.
