Hawks take Spurs at home

Kawhi Leonard scored a game high 20 points to go along with his eight rebounds, two assists and a steal in a loss to the still undefeated Atlanta Hawks.  Jeff Teague scored a team high 19 for the Hawks.  LaMarcus Aldridge was out with back spasms and Tim Duncan played only 13 first half minutes.

Aldridge scores 17 in loss to Miami

In the second game of the preseason for the new look San Antonio Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 17 points and pulled down seven boards in a 97-94 loss to the Miami Heat.  Tim Duncan notched 14 points on 7-7 shooting and hauled down six rebounds and dished two assists in 18 minutes of play.

The Spurs were without the services of Boris Diaw for an unknown reason.  Said Coach Pop when asked what Diaw’s issue was: “I don’t care. When they tell me he can play, then I’ll care.”

The Spurs continue their preseason road trip, taking on the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday at the Phillips Arena.  For you Spurs Road Warriors, plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours and help support your San Antonio Spurs on the road!

The NBA should take heed…the Spurs are back and how…

The coup of free agency, the San Antonio Spurs and PF LaMarcus Aldridge have reportidly agreed to a four year deal.  The move puts San Antonio in remarkable position to come back and contend for the title.  With Tim Duncan agreeing to return, and the Franchise, Kawhi signed to a long term deal and even Danny Green, arguably the best 3 & D in the league,  back, the Spurs are nearly automatic to go deep into the playoffs.  So remains to be seen of El Contusion…expect an announcement straight from via the Argentinian Newspaper La Nacion
