With a 112-104 victory over the Phoenix Suns Friday Night, the San Antonio Spurs clinched Home Court Advantage throughout the entirety of the 2014 NBA Playoffs.

Coming on the heels of the 2nd game of a back to back, the Spurs could have easily thrown in the towel as they fell behind 35-14 with two minutes remaining in the first quarter.

“(The Spurs) could have said, ‘Oh, it’s tough, three (games) in four nights, back-to-back, and we’re just going to take a blow tonight,'” San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. “But they didn’t do it. Those guys have a lot of pride. I think some of the assistant coaches got on them, ’cause you know I didn’t, I just kind of watched a little bit.”

The Suns, who seemed to have the game in hand up until the third quarter, needed that win to try and clinch a playoff spot and will likely have to win out in order to do so.

“We don’t have much choice; our season is on the line,” PG Eric Bledsoe said.
